Scrapbook Sussies April kit

I'm SUPER excited that I am now officially a member of the Scrapbook Sussies Design Team. The first kit I got to design with is for April and it is packed with such PRETTY stuff from the My Mind's Eye "Quite Contrary" line and the new Dear Lizzy line from American Crafts. The papers were so pretty and girly that I just HAD to scrap pictures of my best friend's daughter (who is just the cutest and sweetest little girl)! Check out my creations below!

A Blog Snob????

It's kind-of funny that during the past year or two that I've been checking out other people's blogs, I've always been very alarmed when I find one that hasn't been updated in several weeks, or even MONTHS!!! I wonder "what's wrong with this person? they made a commitment to blog and now they can't keep up with it? How can they be sooooo busy that they can't get on even ONCE A WEEK to keep it going?"

WELL....unfortunately I think my blog has slipped into the background for the past few weeks and I feel REALLY guilty for being so judgmental towards others. My friend informed me that I've been a 'Blog Snob'. I tried not to get offended. AND I decided that I would IMMEDIATELY update my blog and try to get back on track.

I had a wonderful weekend at a crop in Morgantown to raise money for Autism organized by Beth at Its Scraptacular.  I got a ton of layouts done, won a raffle prize, got a bunch of goodies, and the food was great! It always blows my mind how friendly and nice most scrapbookers are. I barely knew anyone there but felt right at home with the ladies that I met.

Here are some layouts I created....

(Supplies: Patterned Paper, ribbon, letter stickers - Webster's Pages; Flowers - Prima; Stickles)

(Supplies: Patterned Paper, chipboard, quote tag - Fancy Pants 'All Fall'; Alpha stickers - American Crafts; Journaling Tag - K&Co.)

(old, old stash from Cloud 9 Designs and the rub-on is My Mind's Eye)

(Supplies: Patterned Paper, stickers, diecuts - Bella Blvd.; Chipboard Alphas - American Crafts; Buttons - Nikki Sivvils; mini alphas - My Little Shoebox)

I was in 7th heaven stitching on my layouts since I don't have a sewing machine at home and Beth brought one for us to use. LOVE IT!

Lots of Layouts...

This layout I creating using some older My Mind's Eye Holiday paper, Making Memories paper, and a sketch from Imaginisce :

Another holiday layout using scraps I had leftover from SEI's Glitzmas paper and I scraplifted from a layout I found on Two Peas entitled "Weekend Farm" (it's an amazing layout):

Here's a layout I created for the contest over on the Page Maps blog. I used my stash of Halloween papers/embellies from Pink Paislee, Making Memories, and Cosmo Cricket:

For this layout of my new nephew, Aiden, and my SIL, Tabatha, I used Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love and Nutmeg and scraplifted Debbie Olsen's layout on the Cosmo Cricket blog:

And last, but not least, this layout I actually created ALL BY MYSELF without scraplifting from ANYONE! and...I used up some older product that I've had sitting around forEVER (I love when I use up old stuff)...

Are YOU a Scrapbook Sussie???

Ever heard of Scrapbook Sussies? They are an AMAZING kit club that I've subscribed to for over 2 years now. The kits have two different sets of papers and embellishments, so it's like getting 2 kits in one. There are ALWAYS cardstock papers, patterned papers, and TONS of embellies!!! In December, half of the kit was fun Holiday goodies. Here are 4 layouts I created, and I STILL have stuff left!!! LOVE Scrapbook Sussies!

Check out the layouts I created from the March kit at Its Scraptacular!!! There's so much fun stuff from Nikki Sivvils and embellishments that were added to the kit that worked perfectly with the patterned paper! One of my favorite parts of the kit were the thickers...a font that I've never seen before!!! I used them in the title "Kerby...Meet Aiden" and the word "Spoon". The butterflies in the paper were fun to hand-cut and use to add dimension to the first layout. Check out the Scraptacular website to get your hands on this amazing kit!
