Feels like 110 degrees?!?!

I was NOT playing around in the heat yesterday...as soon as I heard it would feel like 110 degrees outside, I decided it would be the perfect day to stay inside and play with the new Scrapbook Sussies kit for August. Check out their blog for some sneak peeks of the layouts I created.

Here's another layout I made using the Top Shelf Memories kit I purchased at the Hamburg Hideaway...

Christmas in July???

Unfortunately...I still have Christmas pictures that have to be scrapped. I took a break, and now I'm trying to finish it. The Webster's Pages Christmas line is so beautiful...

I just HAD to hand cut the tree on one of their papers. I outlined it with Stickles and pop dotted it for a beautiful hand-made embellishment. Here's a close-up...

Last year at the CK Convention I got some older My Mind's Eye Holiday paper for a STEAL...so I'm trying to use some of that up also with this layout...

NEW (for me) Pink Paislee and Little Yellow Bicycle

Jillibean Soup

One of my FAVORITE things about scrapping at the Hamburg Hideaway is the access to Taryn's  scrapbook store, Top Shelf Memories
She has also created a monthly kit club, and the older kits are stocked in her store for an amazing discount! I LOVE these kits and the last 2 layouts are from April's kit (which included Maya Mist, thickers, and TONS of fun stuff!)...

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

Oops!!! I think I've been neglecting my blog again.

Last weekend I went to the Hamburg Hideaway and completed 20 (Yup....TWENTY) layouts! Then I proceeded to leave them behind and didn't realize it until I was almost home. Thankfully, one of my buddies grabbed them for me (You Rock, Beth!) and  I am now ready to SHARE SHARE SHARE. Here are the layouts I created using Its Scraptacular's July kit (packed with Pink Paislee, Webster's Pages, and sprinkled with a little Jenni Bowlin:

Here are is what I came up with  using one side of the July kit for Scrapbook Sussies that was made up of My Family from Fancy Pants and lots of fun embellishments...

Memorial Day!!!

Happy Memorial Day! I'm LOVING my extra day off from work. Last week was so hectic, busy, and FUN! I was lucky enough to go out several nights last week, therefore missing out on my precious sleep. So, I've spent this weekend resting up and scrapping with my kits from Its Scraptacular and Scrapbook Sussies.

I created a Welcome Home banner using one half of the Scrapbook Sussies kit for when my new niece arrives. Check out the blog to see the step-by-step process I undertook to create my very first banner (it was  a lot of work but I love the way it turned out)! I also decorated a gift bag for my best friend's birthday this past week....

and I used my leftover scraps for a layout of her adorable daughter...

The other half of the Sussies kit featured the Scooter's Vacation collection. I thought the theme went well with these snowmobile pictures of my brother and nephew playing in the snow.

I created another layout of my nephew, Aiden, and his mommy sharing moments together.

In the packages of page protectors I've been getting for my 12x12 albums, they have been included samples of their 4x6 picture pocket protectors. I use these when I have a bunch of pictures I want to scrapbook, but too many for a regular layout. It also gives me a chance to include a little bit of embellishing to go along with the pics.

You can also check out all the layouts I created using the Its Scraptacular June kit over on their blog.

Hamburg Hideaway layouts....

I had a wonderful weekend getaway at the scrap-a-licious Hamburg Hideaway. I came home and realized that almost half of my layouts were with Basic Grey. I dipped into some old-school Archaic, JuneBug, and I finally used up some of my Eskimo Kisses Collection.

I also got some of Scraptacular's "special" kit for June that is chocked full of the new Max & Whiskers. Can't wait to share those layouts soon!
